Fermentation 101: January 11th
Learn the basics of vegetable fermentation with Meaghan Carpenter, Co-Founder and Head Food Alchemist at HEX Ferments. You'll learn about the history of traditionally fermented foods in our diets and the role they play in our health and well-being. Together we will make a seasonally inspired vegetable ferment and review the process to shepherd your veggies through the stages of fermentation at home. Each participant will take home a 32oz jar of fermented vegetables and a copy of the recipe we make in class. All materials are included, plus you'll be entitled to a discount on any DIY fermentation kits, ingredients and books available in the HEX Superette. This is a hands-on course, be prepared for light vegetable chopping and working with others. Class size is limited to 10 people. Sales are final and cannot be transferred to another date.
