Making kimchi is a labor of love, best made with others! Join Meaghan Carpenter, Food Alchemist and Co-Founder of HEX Ferments and HEX Superette, as she leads you through the art of making kimchi. This class is perfect for those who have taken Fermentation 101, however, that is not a requirement! We will review all the steps to making delicious kimchi, starting with the basics of fermentation, ingredients, equipment needed, dry brining, making gochujang, flavor combinations, fermentation times and uses. This is a hands-on class, we will be elbow deep in veggies and spices, be prepared to work alongside others and use a knife. All participants will leave with a jar of kimchi we make in class, and a base recipe to get started at home.
