Eco-Printing Workshop with Monique Crabb: August 16th

In this eco-printing workshop led by Monique Crabb of MICA, you will learn two processes for extracting color from flowers, bugs, wood, and food remnants from Hex Ferments and you will leave the workshop with an eco-printed silk scarf and cotton tea towel.

The two eco-printing techniques are Bundle Dyeing, which uses steam to extract color from plants onto fabric and Hapa Zome is the Japanese art of beating pigment out of leaves and flowers with a hammer. You are also allowed to bring one small *natural fiber item to alter with plant colors.

*natural items are 100% cotton or silk or blends of cotton, linen, hemp, silk, etc.

Class size is limited to 15 participants. All materials are included. Sales are final and cannot be transferred to another date.
