Cheese Making Workshop
Pam Miller from Charlottetown Farm is coming to HEX Superette for an afternoon of cheese making, tasting and samples! Learn from our local goat cheese maker and sample fresh offerings as she demonstrates the craft and art.
-
Learn how to make a crottin bloomy rind cheese, ricotta, and goat milk yogurt
-
Explore abundant cheese samples, along with wine and kombucha tastes, house made crostini, and snacks
Together, we’ll explore cheese making history and techniques and share a full tasting from Charlottetown Farm’s offerings.
Pam Miller is a master cheesemaker with an innate sense of taste and a playful touch resulting in some of the finest goat cheeses to be found. One taste and you're hooked! Pam learned the importance of agriculture early on and how people today have become disconnected from where their food comes from. With workshops and time in farmers markets Pam enjoys the exchange of ideas where people can learn about goats, dairying and the production of healthy local products, and why this matters in our local food shed.
What else makes the workshop wonderful: You can bring a friend with you, and make new friends here! You’ll be able to purchase directly from Charlottetown Farms’ array of cheese and confections after the workshop and you can explore HEX Superette, a market filled with local curated products. There’s also a bar and kitchen for you to peruse before the workshop.
