Hmong Sticky Brown Rice

Sticky rice is waxy, yielding a glossy appearance when cooked. The texture is sticky and chewy, the flavor is rich and fragrant with sweet undertones. 

Soak water to float off any hulls. Rice to water cooking ratio 1:1.5. Measure water and bring to a boil. Add rice, cover pot, and simmer, untouched, without stirring, at lowest heat for 50 minutes.
