In this tiny part of Normandy, in the northwestern corner of France, dairy production is part of history and identity. For over 100 years Isigny Ste-Mere has been passionately committed to the ancient craft of cheese, cream, and butter making and the traditions of sustainable agriculture. They don’t just work with farmers, they are farmers. THey tend their land, and craft their products as a cooperative, where successes are shared.
This is where rich grass grows, and the cows are given room to roam. Here the freshest milk is transformed, within a few hours and miles of the pasture, into food of real integrity.
Yet although their production scale remains human and timelessly local, their appreciation is truly global. Their products find their way to the finest tables around the globe, to food lovers who insist on quality and understand the real meaning of food with a Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) status. In turn they are transported to a place of authentic craft and a community bound by the land and its history.
