HEX Superette is a one of a kind tasting room and local marketplace located in the Govans neighborhood of Baltimore City.

HEX Superette features the regions highest quality local produce, local meats and dairy, fermented foods from HEX Ferments along with local and regional goods. Currently hosting Made in Baltimore's Pop-up with local makers. The Made in Baltimore program supports makers and manufacturers in Baltimore City with a simple mission: Encourage investment in Baltimore’s economy by growing the market for locally-made goods and supporting the people who make them.

Local Market

The marketplace champions producers that source from local food sheds, grow and make flavorful, nutrient dense goods, produced with the health of people and health of the planet at top of mind.

Tasting Room

The tasting room that answers the question, “How do I eat this?” With a seasonal menu that highlights HEX Ferments, locally sourced ingredients and flavors, executed in an approachable and comfortable way.

Events & Workshops

At HEX Superette we host community events and workshops that are health and food focused, pop-up dinners featuring local chefs and hidden talents, educational programs for children, individuals and families.

Learn the basics of vegetable fermentation and kombucha with Meaghan Carpenter, Co-Founder of HEX Ferments / Head Food Alchemist. We will talk about the history of traditionally fermented foods in our diets and the role they play in our health and well-being. Together we will make a vegetable ferment and review the process of making kombucha. Each participant will take home a jar of veggies to finish the fermenting process at home, along with a recipe guide.

All materials included, plus DIY fermentation kits and books for purchase. This is a hands-on course, be prepared to work with others and chop vegetables.
